Pinoy Legacy is a faith-driven nonprofit organization dedicated to uplifting underserved communities in the Philippines—especially in Cebu—through education and sustainable support. We focus on both immediate and long-term impact: providing short-term community events and assistance to meet urgent needs, while also investing in education and career development to break the cycle of poverty. Our mission is to bring hope, opportunity, and a brighter future to families and communities for generations to come.

Who We Are
Our Story.
Pinoy Legacy was born out of a personal connection to the Philippines. Amor, Daniel Walker’s wife, grew up in Cebu, Philippines. When Daniel first traveled there to visit Amor and meet her family, he was struck by both the warmth of the people and the harsh realities many faced. Families struggled to afford basic necessities. Children often didn’t attend school because they needed to help their families. Orphans lived in heartbreaking conditions. Many hardworking adults wanted to change their lives—whether by finishing school, attending trade programs, starting small businesses, or even working as moped taxi drivers—but lacked the money, resources, or understanding of the legal and business requirements to make it possible.
As a follower of Jesus, Daniel felt a deep calling, inspired by Jeremiah 29:11, to respond. He started small—using his personal income to help however he could, whether feeding stray animals, providing basic supplies, or supporting families he met. But he also noticed that while short-term help was meaningful, there were very few resources for long-term assistance, such as education and career development, which could truly break the cycle of poverty.
This experience sparked the creation of Pinoy Legacy, a U.S.-based nonprofit dedicated to providing both immediate support through community events and long-term solutions through scholarships, trade education, and small business assistance. What began as simple acts of kindness has grown into a mission to bring hope, opportunity, and a brighter future to families and communities across the Philippines.

I’m Daniel Walker, the founder of Pinoy Legacy. I work as an actuary — using the analytical skills from my career to guide our programs and ensure they create meaningful impact. My wife and I started this nonprofit after I spent time in Cebu and saw firsthand the challenges many families face. I oversee our projects and collaborate with our team to support students, families, and local organizations. My goal is to help people achieve their dreams and create lasting change in the Philippines, all while honoring God in the work we do.
I’m Amor Walker, an advisor for Pinoy Legacy. I grew up in Cebu City, where I witnessed many of the challenges families face in the Philippines. Those experiences shaped my desire to help others and are a big part of why this nonprofit is so meaningful to me. My hope is to serve my community with compassion, guided by the values God has placed on my heart.
Jacob is a joyful person who loves Jesus and believes deeply in the potential of people—even when they struggle to see it in themselves. He works in Supply Chain professionally, and he also serves on the worship team and co-leads a Bible study through his church. Jacob supports Pinoy Legacy because he believes in helping people, spreading hope, and sharing the love of Christ in a world that desperately needs it. He lives an active, healthy lifestyle and enjoys running and biking, and spending time with family and friends.
I am Josh Pham. I am currently the Development Director for the Salvation Army of Waukesha county. I help raise funds through public and private donations to provide support and assistance for the homeless and those living in poverty and need. I am proud to support the mission of Pinoy Legacy because our programs aims and objectives are to serve those who are underprivileged and less fortunate in the Philippines. I am an avid traveler and in my travels across our world and country, I encounter much suffering and poverty among humanity. I feel compelled by my faith to do my part and serve where I can.
Jane Walker is an elder law attorney and follower of Jesus who uses her gifts to serve others. She has spent years creating joyful balloon designs for churches, community groups, and the Salvation Army. After seeing the needs in the Philippines through Daniel and Amor’s ministry, she felt called to support the work and now helps lead Pinoy Legacy’s fundraising efforts. Jane’s heart for people is reflected in her legal work, her volunteerism, and her compassion for animals. A devoted pet lover and proud grandmother, she approaches every part of her life with the same mission: love God, love people, and bring hope wherever she can.
Ghamay Pepito a Digital Marketing Consultant, He has built a distinguished career over the last decade architecting innovative digital strategies that propel substantial business growth and maximize ROI. His executive leadership is defined by a data-driven approach, demonstrating a mastery in aligning bespoke digital blueprints with top-level corporate objectives. He excels in overseeing complex digital operations and cultivating enduring client partnerships through insightful strategic guidance.
